London-based 22-year-old Picture House (aka Harry Benson) first acquired his love for music through discovering old and forgotten 80s pop, disco and funk records in his home collection. Later influenced by the likes of Moodymann and Marshall Jefferson, early Chicago house and Berlin techno, his own productions have since progressed over his years of experimentation, from more laidback Balearic sounds to classic house vibes. Besides appearing on London-based label Sccucci Manucci with his solo release ‘Blaxploitation’ (also featuring Jacques Renault and Zoo Look), Benson has also remixed the likes of Crystal Fighters and Monarchy, taking a distinctively disco-influenced house approach. For his DJ sets, he scours both vintage and new vinyl for the finest releases, and will be starting a new house and disco night in East London in 2012.
